Question is do you ever use a protractor for Islamic Geometric Patterns? There's an interesting and perhaps purist culture (which I of course fully embrace!) where we love a compass and straight edge construction, but a protractor is just another tool, like so many other tools that can help us draw and create perfectly precise patterns.
