Grief doesn’t only begin after loss — sometimes it starts while we’re watching someone we love decline or while caregiving through illness. That weight can feel overwhelming, and your words deserve a place to go. If you’d like to release what’s on your heart, call 480-404-5454 and leave a message in a safe, private space. No one will answer — this is your space. And if you ever feel like you’re in crisis, please call 988 for immediate help. You don’t have to carry it alone. #griefandloss #griefj

Grief changes everything, including what words feel like, what they really mean. You listen to words like “healing,” “time,” and “closure,” and they sound hollow, stupid, meaningless. Echoes from a world you no longer live in. You learn to nod at the right moments. To say “I’m ok” when you’re breaking apart. To carry the weight of a thousand words that no longer mean what they used to. And it feels like you’re the only one who knows this language. The only one who understands what silence really

Describing grief 🗣️ Reading these words, I was reminded: grief is layered. It can be crushing and tender, painful and reflective, heartbreaking and still, somehow, resilient. Grief can be more than one thing at once. If you see your word here, you are not alone. If your word is different, it still matters, it’s your experience, it’s still valid. Grief carries a language all its own. Naming it is one way of honoring and making space for it. And that in and of itself is healing. ❤️🩹 What word w

I will never be able to describe grief in a way that encompasses entirely. First, the “five stages of grief” is deceptive. There’s far more than five stages and those stages repeat and bounce around with no rhyme or reason. Some days you are a broken, sobbing mess. Some days you are angry and want to light the world on fire. Some days you won’t know how to explain how you’re feeling because you quite literally cannot feel anything. Some days you understand - it is what it is and life moves on. S

Supporting Someone Who is Grieving: Grief is complex, and sometimes we struggle to find the right words. Here’s a simple guide: ❌ What NOT to Say: “I know how you feel.” → Every grief is unique. “It’s time to move on.” → Grief has no timeline. “At least…” → Minimizes their loss. “Be strong.” → Implies they shouldn’t show emotion. ✅ What TO Say: “I’m here for you.” → Shows presence and support. “I can’t imagine how hard this is.” → Validates their feelings. “I’m thinking of you.” → Simple, gentle
