For my birthday this year I wanted to make myself the best purple cake!! Purple is my favorite color, but sadly not many flavors are the color purple! I really like ube, and decided it was the best purple "flavor" I could come up with! Ube is Japanese yam, and is a popular flavor in Filipino desserts. I wanted to stick with this tropical theme, so I frosted this cake with a coconut buttercream. There were so many beautiful details on this cake! The decoration on the side is inspired by @butter_a
