2015: Former Flemington Speedway Modified driver Larry Bowers has died. Bowers apparently succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent fall. A fixture at the track for two decades, Bowers is best remembered with his familiar white and blue Mustang #1B (seen here in Dick Ivins video clip). It was October 4, 1975, that Larry Bowers parked the 1B in victory lane, a Modified feature winner at Flemington Speedway.
