FDNY Probationary Firefighters at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island lower the flag in honor of Probationary Firefighter Vincent Malveaux. Probationary Firefighter Malveaux suffered a medical episode during training on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the FDNY Training Academy on Randall’s Island. Just after 2:00pm on Thursday, the #FDNY responded to reports of a fire in a private dwelling in Brooklyn. The fire quickly went to a 3rd alarm and was brought under control at 4:38pm.
