Our exotic veterinarian examined this axolotl who presented with multiple skin lesions, shortened gills, blackened toes, and red pericloacal tissue. We’ll be performing a biopsy, as well as bacterial and fungal cultures, to determine the underlying cause. Radiographs will also help us evaluate internal health.
