Acadia National Park is home to 2 epic hikes that are not for the faint of heart! On the Precipice trail you climb up over 1,000 feet on the first mile of the hike. This trail is Crazy with a capital C!! You are literally climbing up the side of a mountain the whole time! Not switch backs but actual rock scrambling and climbing on wrought iron ladders on the side of the mountain.
