Over 600 bunkers were constructed around the coast of Britain, as part of a resistance network during WWII. A civilian fighting force was trained in various pursuits including sabotage and wireless operation, to be called upon should the Axis powers invade. This bunker was intended for a wireless operator, who would gather information on the invading army.
