The Colts were led by quarterback Bert Jones, who threw for 282 yards, 3 touchdown passes and 9 yard touchdown run. It would be the last game for Dolphins quarterback Bob Griese who left the game with a rotator cuff injury. It was also the last victory for the Colts at the Orange Bowl.
