Hatchling Release!! This week, we released hatchlings about 10-15 miles offshore, where they spend the early years of their lives. Typically, hatchlings brought to the Center are ones that were not strong enough to swim into the ocean after hatching or possibly headed in the wrong direction due to bright lights. These hatchlings typically remain in the care of our hospital staff and volunteers for 1 to 2 weeks before returning to their ocean home. We wish these hatchlings a safe journey! | Logge
