Have you ever seen a six-sided castle? 🏰 The enchanting Old Wardour Castle is exactly that. Built in the 1390s, it witnessed the drama of the Wars of the Roses, had classical features added to it long before the renaissance movement and played a part in the English Civil War when its own lord blasted it with cannons to win it back. Never rebuilt, the ruins became the centre piece of a landscaped garden. If you brave a little rain this season, you might just get the whole castle to yourself. ✨ V
