The rescue teams across both Wombat Rescue and @wildcare_queanbeyan have been kept busy with either calls of displaced wombats or injured or killed wombats in the new development area of Environa near Jerrabomberra. This beautiful young female was found sleeping in the KFC drive-thru. Highly unusual behaviour so she was brought into care for possible car strike and xrayed. She was clearly displaced and had nowhere to sleep. KFC was it😊 Thank you to staff member Katie who closed the lane to keep

An incredible lucky day for this wombat. Its 1.5 hours drive for us to get here and softly raining. We expected to put a camera up with a flap as this sick wombat lives under the house But as soon as we were on the access road I spotted a wombat shape in the garden She was out and about and we got a dose on her quickly before she bolted What made it harder was the wind was blowing on my back so blowing my smell directly towards her. I could see her sniffing the air as she became aware of me so I
