Ed Norton, played by actor Art Carney, was usually seen wearing a turned-up porkpie hat and an unbuttoned vest over a white T-shirt in episodes of 'The Honeymooners.' The felt porkpie hat was from Carney’s own wardrobe. He purchased the head covering in 1935 while in high school. In fact, it was the first hat he ever bought and cost him only $5.
