This beautiful short-eared owl became a patient at Iowa Bird Rehabilitation after colliding with farm equipment at night during fall harvest. Though the owl had wing injuries too severe to ever fly again, he’s now healthy and calm, and will become an education bird at Iowa Bird Rehab. This owl will teach future generations about the importance of bird conservation, the critical need for habitat protection, and how specific species help the environment flourish.
