Oooh a titanium-lugged prototype! Wil’s over at Pivot HQ in Arizona and came across this gorgeous Phoenix DH prototype that uses 3D printed titanium lugs instead of the CNC machined alloy lugs shown previously. Titanium ends up being lighter and the additive manufacturing process allows for greater freedom when engineering each lug. The tubes are still made from carbon fibre at Pivot’s factory in Arizona, and it’s all bonded together to create a prototype frame in a surprisingly short timeframe.
