Worst Nascar crash? In the 1993 Daytona 500, Rusty Wallace was running in the top 10 late in the race when Derrike Cope and Michael Waltrip made contact in Turn 2. Waltrip’s car spun down the track and clipped Wallace’s Pontiac, sending it spinning sideways and then airborne. Wallace’s car flipped violently eight times down the Daytona backstretch before coming to rest on its roof.
