The Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis) is critically endangered. As of recent estimates, fewer than 100 individuals are believed to remain in the wild, with some reports indicating around 70 to 80 individuals. They primarily inhabit the Russian Far East and northeastern China. These majestic cats are endangered due to: 1. Habitat Loss: Deforestation, human settlement, and infrastructure development have fragmented their habitat, making it difficult for the leopards to find food and mates.

Leopard sharks were once abundant in the waters of Indonesia’s Raja Ampat archipelago, but commercial fishing and the lucrative shark trade have nearly wiped out the species.
