The Los Angeles City Fire Department's Board of Fire Commissioners recognized LAFD Apparatus Operator, Ryan Jensen, for his swift and decisive actions in saving a nine-year-old boy's life during a Sun Valley structure fire in March of 2023. The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the 7700 block of N Lankershim Blvd at 11:46AM on March 23, 2023, for a structure fire at a 211-unit apartment building.
