This is a common problem for all pump jacks I’ve used. They will last years and years but will eventually slip like this. It’s not a safety concern, but rather very annoying. You can use the other foot to kick the brake lever back every time. That gets old very quickly - trust me. Springs are very difficult to source and I’ve even taken springs off other pump jacks to try to solve the problem, but I’ve found this to be the quickest and easiest solution that will last for a few years before the b
