A successful controlled explosion was carried out at 3.35pm of a 500lb unexploded WWII German bomb, which was accidentally dug up by builders in Birmingham yesterday morning. Bomb disposal experts from 721 (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) EOD Squadron, part of 11 EOD Regiment, used the Cutlass robot to assist in its safe disposal.
