Deaf dogs are put down by breeders as they are not designer or they are seen as deformed, not valuable. Thank goodness Spy's breeder didn't make this choice. It may be because this person didn't know he was deaf or maybe they did and still saw his value. I didn't get him as a puppy. I adopted him at about 1 years old. He has brought me so much joy and has taught me so much. There have been significantly more wins than challenges during our time together. I can't imagine not having him in my hear
