Christchurch is often thought of as having an aging population, however the area has a severe shortage of school places. Currently 90 children in West Christchurch have no official school to go to and are being taught in a temporary classes within Twynham Secondary. Dorset County Council is proposing for a new school to be built but the land it's chosen is green belt - which is proving controversial.
