• TRAMWAY TESTING • Don’t forget testing has started today on the Talbot Road tramway extension, between the Promenade and the new Blackpool North tram stop. From Tuesday 23 April, trams will be live on the tracks at various times of day while testing is carried out. The majority of testing will be Monday to Friday, however some weekend testing may also be required. The extension to the tramway will connect North Station to the Promenade, providing a direct link to shops, hotels and leisure attractions. BLACKPOOL’S HERITAGE TRAMS - EXTENDED The illuminated HMS Blackpool and the vintage double-decker Tram 717 are back out on the seafront throughout the festive season. Blackpool’s iconic heritage trams will be running every Friday and Saturday in December; a rare chance to experience the famous Illuminations aboard two of the town’s most treasured historic vehicles.
