Just wanted to clear up the confusion. Black Locust, Robinia pseudoacacia, is a fast-growing hardwood that yields rot-resistant fence posts and high-end lumber. It’s excellent if you’re looking for livestock shade quickly. Honey Locust, Gleditsia triacanthos, tolerates a wide range of soil types and climates. It’s also a great #silvopasture tree.
