Today we held the Funeral and Service of Thanksgiving for the life of the Right Reverend David Jenkins, Bishop of Durham, 1984-1994. Bishop David died a few weeks ago. The Bishop of Ripon, James Bell, was the preacher, with music by Durham Cathedral Choir and the Durham Miners' Association Band and colleagues from other local brass bands.
