OTTAWA — An Alberta Conservative MP says the federal government needs to do more to combat Canada's devastating forest fires.
PORT ALBERNI — A raging wildfire that has forced evacuations near Port Alberni has grown again overnight to more than 20 square kilometres in size as it continues to burn out of control.
The City of Port Alberni, the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District and the Tseshaht First Nation have all issued local states of emergency due to the growing blaze.
