The Keller ISD school board tried to explain to a crowd full of parents and community members why it feels it needs to split in two. But it seems like it wasn't enough to convince the majority of people in attendance.

Superintendent Tracy Johnson could part ways with Keller ISD on Thursday, as the school board reviews a "voluntary separation agreement" while the district wrestles with a contentious proposal to split into two.

Johnson said at a Jan. 16 special meeting that she had already written her letter of resignation and would submit it if she did not agree with how the process to split the district plays out.
