A Forked River man is accused of shoplifting nearly $1,800 worth of merchandise during 43 separate incidents over a two-month period from a Stafford supermarket, police said. The 28-year-old was arrested at 10 p.m. Jan. 9, Stafford police said in a statement last week.

Daquan Nieves, 28, was picked up on a warrant on Jan. 9. He stands accused of making off with $1,793 in "assorted food items," police said.
