A central team on Monday visited Badhaal village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district to ascertain the cause of death of 17 members of three families under mysterious circumstances.

The house of Akhlakh Shah, a groom who married on Monday, stood in stark contrast to the usual vibrant wedding celebrations.

The disease that remains unidentified has claim 17 lives and affecting 38 people since early December 2024. However health department teams say there us no need to declare a public heath emergency.
