Giants introduce Rafael Devers

"A little bit of DH and a little bit of first base,” Giants manager Bob Melvin said about Devers's role with the team.
On Sunday evening, the Red Sox and Giants agreed to the stunning move which sent Devers to San Francisco and right-hander Jordan Hicks, left-hander Kyle Harrison, outfield prospect James Tibbs III and right-handed pitching prospect Jose Bello to Boston.
Devers was frustrated with Red Sox management for taking away his position at third base, then asking him to play first after an injury to Triston Casas.
Devers was introduced alongside Giants legend and president of baseball operations Buster Posey, and with Barry Bonds in attendance.
"They are the men in charge," Devers said at his introductory conference. "I am here to play wherever they want me to play."
Few people on Earth can relate to the Rafael Devers trade as well as Mookie Betts, but even he struggled to wrap his mind around it.
After resisting the idea of changing positions in Boston, Rafael Devers sung a different tune in his introductory press conference with the Giants, saying he’ll play wherever the team asks.
Rafael Devers has been formally introduced by the Giants, days after being traded to San Francisco by the Boston Red Sox.
