Pete Davidson revealed a secret about one of his now-removed tattoos. On the July 28 episode of “Hot Ones,” the comedian shared the story behind some large ink he got on his chest — a quote directly from Dave Chappelle — during the early days of his career.

The “ Saturday Night Live ” alum, in an appearance on “Hot Ones,” told host Sean Evans that the ink was inspired by a conversation with Dave Chappelle after the comedian watched Davidson perform stand-up at the since-closed Knitting Factory in Brooklyn.

"I got off stage, and he was like, 'I watched your whole set. It was really good," said Davidson, who joined the cast of Saturday Night Live when he was 20. The younger comedian was emboldened to ask for some advice on writing new material because he was finding it difficult.
