Powerful thunderstorms swept through Minnesota, producing at least two confirmed tornadoes, severe hail, and heavy rain. The National Weather Service reported one tornado touchdown between Nicollet and North Mankato in southern Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Severe storms swept across Minnesota Monday evening bringing 14 reported tornadoes. Severe storms hit the majority of Minnesota Monday evening, bringing intense rain, strong winds, lightning and large hail. From those storms, 14 tornadoes were reported across the state along with multiple wind damage reports.

Meteorologist Sven Sundgaard is back with a look at the potential for severe storms for parts of Minnesota Monday, that could include the possibility of tornadoes and golf ball sized hail. Plus, when temps could start heating up and more chances for widespread rain later this week.
