The Indiana Fever shared their first injury update on Sophie Cunningham following their dramatic win over the Sun.

Kelsey Mitchell knocked down a career-high 38 points to lead Indiana a 21-point comeback victory over the Connecticut Sun — the largest come-from-behind win in Fever history — and Aliyah Boston also wrote her name in the team's record books.

The Fever are 2-1 vs. the Sun in 2025. Indiana beat Connecticut 88-71 on June 17 in a game that featured altercations involving Indiana's Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, and Connecticut's Jacy Sheldon (since traded), Marina Mabrey, Tina Charles and Lindsay Allen.

Indiana looks to snap two-game losing streak while Connecticut hopes to build momentum after breaking their five-game skid earlier this week.

The loss of Sophie Cunningham would be a major hit to the Indiana Fever. Indiana has a thin backcourt with Clark, Colson and McDonald out. Odyssey Sims is one of the few guards, along with Kelsey Mitchell, still active for the Fever.

Even if Sophie Cunningham's injury were to keep her out long-term, the Fever won't be able to sign a player to replace her until after Friday's game.
