An unsettled stretch of weather will result in the potential for flooding and strong storms in Houston after Tuesday. Here's what you should know.

Thursday will bring the combination of muggy air, a cold front and a strong upper-level disturbance. Expect at least scattered storms and possibly a line of strong to severe storms including the slight chance for a tornado or damaging winds 60 mph+.

We'll get noticeably warmer Wednesday as a more humid south breeze returns - that will set the stage for scattered storms that could begin in the afternoon and will reach their peak by Thursday as a cold front pushes through Southeast Texas.
