Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers believes his team were not good enough in their Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen.

Jimmy Thelin was proud to put “a smile on the city” after his Aberdeen side defied the odds to defeat treble-chasing Celtic 4-3 on penalties and claim the Scottish Cup for the first time in 35 years.

Celtic captain McGregor had never lost a cup final and his pain was evident after missing out on a 25th winners’ medal.
