Gene Hackman tested negative for COVID prior to his death, according to New Mexico investigators reports following a search of Betsy Hackman's computer.

Investigators found dead rodents, a nest, and droppings on the property of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, following her death from hantavirus, which is caused by rodent contact.

Bodycam footage released Tuesday from inside Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa's Sante Fe home showed their German shepherd "guarding her" body, a sheriff's deputy said.
