NBA fans aren't the only ones excited to see Luka Dončić's return to face the Dallas Mavericks after his former team traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards said Wednesday that he wants to be in attendance for a showdown between the two teams, suggesting that he intends to get courtside tickets to the game if his Timberwolves aren't playing the same day the two sides square off in Dallas.

The biggest trade in arguably all of sports occurred on Saturday night when the Dallas Mavericks traded their superstar and face of the franchise, Luka Dončić, to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for their superstar Anthony Davis.

At this point, Mavericks general manager/rogue agent of chaos Nico Harrison might be the only person on Earth who doesn't think trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers was one of the most baffling decisions in NBA history.

Anthony Edwards asked the Timberwolves to let him know ahead of time if the team seeks to trade him, hoping not to be treated the same way Luka Doncic was.

On Monday night, after the Minnesota Timberwolves narrowly fell to the Sacramento Kings, Edwards was asked what he thought about the earth-shaking transaction that landed Doncic in purple and gold. He revealed he felt sorry for his fellow star.

Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, who earlier in the week provided one of the most memorable soundbites out of several dumbstruck NBA stars who commented on the trade, offered up another (he seems to have a knack for that) in an ESPN clip on Wednesday when he was asked about the trade once again.
