Mark Zuckerberg criticized the Biden administration during a conversation with podcaster Joe Rogan, claiming the administration would “scream” and “curse” at Meta Platforms Inc. employees amid discussions about how to moderate content related to Covid-19 during the pandemic.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Friday appeared on Joe Rogan's show to lob bitter complaints at President Joe Biden's outgoing administration, as well as to heap praise on the incoming Trump administration.

After visiting President-elect Donald J. Trump in November, Mr. Zuckerberg decided to relax Meta’s speech policies. He asked a small team to carry out his goals within weeks. The repercussions are just beginning.

All these moves indicate a rightward shift for Meta, as Zuckerberg joins the other leaders of Big Tech trying to curry favor with the president-elect and his cohort. A more free-speech-friendly Facebook and Instagram could significantly change the ethos of the digital world, but for now, Meta's actions are stirring up plenty of discourse.
