The news out of Sacramento regarding the Kings opening up trade talks for De’Aaron Fox has been surprising and fast in progression. It’s an even more interesting turn of events considering the Kings much-improved play of late following Mike Brown’s departure and Doug Christie‘s promotion.

De’Aaron Fox confirmed Wednesday what became public Tuesday. The Sacramento Kings guard validated reports the team was fielding calls and trade offers for the former All-Star, and indicated he wouldn’t be surprised if he were moved ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

“Source: De’Aaron Fox’s agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, recently sent word that it would be wise for the Kings to move him now. Even with Fox’s preferred destination — widely believed to be San Antonio — Fox’s side will remain open to all destinations.”
