According to the National Weather Service (NWS) of Burlington, light snow is expected throughout the day on Saturday, with the greatest chances of snow in the morning. Most areas of the state will see one inch of snowfall, with two inches possible in the middle region of the state.

A short-lived round of snow early Saturday could cause roads to become slippery for the start of the weekend, but the region will not see heavy accumulation. This weekend, a storm system passes well south of our region on Saturday.

Accumulating light snow tonight into early tomorrow should bring a general coating to 2 inches within one county of the Beltway. After Saturday’s gusts, Sunday is gem-like with sun, milder air and calmer conditions.
