A tropical system off the southeastern coast is drifting northwestward to the open Atlantic, easing the threat of tropical rain for the Carolinas.
In addition to Tropical Storm Dexter, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring several other tropical disturbances in the coming days.
Will it rain today? Atlantic hurricane season is June 1 to Nov. 30, 2025, with most tropical storm activity between August and October in Florida.
