O’Malley was the superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension under former Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty and currently is the interim chief judge of the Court of Administrative Hearings. He was also formerly an FBI agent and a reformer in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. He’ll start his new role next month.
