Special counsel Jack Smith has resigned from the Justice Department effective Friday, according to a court filing.
Richmond Mayor Dr. Danny Avula said the city would work with an independent, third-party expert to probe the water outage.
The Justice Department revealed in a separate filing on Saturday that Jack Smith has resigned from the department.
