De’Ante Kidd, 34, of Cleveland, died in the shooting, authorities said. Officers found him dead from a gunshot wound on the balcony of house. Investigators believed a suspect was barricaded inside a nearby home. A SWAT team surrounded the building, but did not find the suspect inside, officials said.

The victim of a Pleasant Grove shooting late last week has been identified as a 73-year-old woman. Officers found the woman about 10:15 a.m. Friday in the 1800 block of East Shore Circle, near Lake June. She was identified Monday by Dallas police as Sue Tarleton.

FLINT, MI – Sheona Baker’s mother, Celeste, didn’t cast shame on the two men who were sentenced for killing her daughter during their sentencing in Genesee County Circuit Court. Instead, Celeste, who was speaking to the men from prison herself, used her speech as an opportunity to forgive them.

Officers quickly identified Amir Karkehabadi as the suspect, arrested him at the motel and found a handgun, Sutter said. The relationship between Karkehabadi and the victim, if any, was not disclosed by police. The motive was under investigation.
