GENESEE COUNTY, MI - Due to dangerous icy roads and severe wind gusts, many Flint area schools have closed for Thursday, Feb. 6. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for southeast Michigan until 9 a.m. Thursday, with mixed precipitation bringing up to a half-inch of snow and sleet, along with a light glaze of ice, according to weather.com.

Atlantic County school districts have begun calling for closures and delayed openings for Thursday due to a nasty ice storm expected to hit the state starting Wednesday night.
