Two French nationals who work at France's CNRS research institute have admitted responsibility for Monday's arson attack at the Russian consulate in Marseille, the Marseille prosecutor said on Wednesday.

Bottles containing a cocktail of nitrogen and other chemical substances were thrown at the Russian consulate in the port city of Marseille on Monday. No one was injured.

Two French nationals who threw explosive devices at the Russian consulate in Marseille are employed by the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the public prosecutor’s office told AFP
