South Korean auto major Kia has introduced the PV5 modular electric vehicle at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. This model, a mid-sized Car Derived Van (CDV), is the first to be launched under the brand’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) business strategy.

The Kia PV5 has been fully unveiled at the carmaker’s 2025 EV Day event. Not only is the PV5 Kia’s first van but also the introductory model for its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), a modular skateboard designed to spawn all-electric multi-purpose utility vehicles targeted towards private and commercial sectors.
