February brings a rare planetary parade, with five bright planets in clear view and a special alignment of Mercury and Saturn on Feb. 24.

Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mercury and Saturn will appear in a row on the evening of 28 February, marking the last time for 15 years that all of the planets will be visible at the same time. Planetary parades of four or five planets happen relatively regularly, though alignments of six or seven are remarkably rare.

The rare astronomical event will see Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mercury and Saturn appear at the same time, although not all will be visible with the naked eye. Six planets have already been on parade in the night sky, and Mercury is set to complete the line-up on February 28.
