Cleveland Browns fans may have to wait until Week 2 of the preseason to see rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel in game action.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales previously said Bryce Young will start at quarterback against the Browns, a change from last year. The 2023 No. 1 overall draft pick did not play in the first two preseason games last year and only saw action in one series in the preseason finale.

In late July, Browns GM Andrew Berry confirmed that quarterbacks Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel could all be on the active roster for the club's Week 1 game.
