New York Jets, OL Josh Myers agree on contract extension
After signing a one-year deal with the Jets this offseason, ESPN reports he now agreed to a two-year, $11 million extension: Joe Tippmann was originally slated to start at center for New York. Because of a season-ending injury for Alijah Vera-Tucker, Tippmann moved to guard and Myers was slotted in at center.
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie defensive end Danny Striggow went down with an injury with about 11:09 remaining in the first half. The Jaguars were up 21-7 with the New York Jets driving. Striggow went down after a one-yard Breece Hall run and was attended to by trainers before walking off the field under his own power and into the blue medical tent.
